10 Wrestling Movies That Should Be Made

3. Bearer Family Values

As far as crazy backstories go, nothing matches the shared history between Paul Bearer, The Undertaker, and Kane. Their relationship has been as tumultuous as it is storied, with Kane and ‘Taker butting heads as many times as they’ve teamed up, and their storyline father regularly pitting one against the other.

A potential movie would focus on their pre-WWE history, rather than their various goings-on inside the squared circle. In 1997, shortly after Kane’s debut, Bearer revealed that ‘The Deadman’ had accidentally killed their family by starting a fire at their funeral home, and Kane was the only survivor. ‘The Big Red Machine’ was left physically and mentally scarred by the event, becoming a pyromaniac in the aftermath, and swearing bloody revenge upon his brother.

This would make the perfect basis for a goofy horror film, with the two gargantuan monsters taking chunks out of each other, and Bearer caught as the man in the middle. The source material is too daft and over-the-top for a serious tone, and the producers should embrace this, leaning heavily ‘Taker’s supposed supernatural powers and Kane’s obsession with setting things on fire, creating a highly entertaining popcorn flick.
