10 Wrestling Tag Teams That Were Totally Awkward

3. Mark Henry And Jack Swagger

Fans tuning in to the pre-show 'Kick Off' portion of the Royal Rumble 2016 pay-per-view surely believed that The Dudley Boyz would win the match. The winners would be handed slots in the upcoming Rumble match itself, and it made sense to believe that Bubba Ray and D-Von would be the ones to grab those spots. Instead, they went to Mark Henry and Jack Swagger. In the match, there were only a handful of regular teams. The Dudley Boyz and The Ascension were joined by the random couples made up by Swagger and Henry, along with Damien Sandow and Darren Young. It made for quite the mix of talent, and fans in the arena appeared a little shocked that Swagger and Henry emerged victorious to advance to the 30-man main event later. There was no explanation given as to why both men were now teaming together. In the eyes of wrestling fans, it's only because they don't have any real direction on their own. That would seem to be accurate, there's no real bond or purpose to a team involving Jack Swagger and Mark Henry and WWE haven't even tried to offer one.
