10 WWE & AEW Wrestlers Hurt The Most By The Empty Arena Era

9. Asuka

In the early days of the pandemic, Asuka was a shining star of the women's division. Her improvisation skills and promo work were working wonders on WWE TV, leading to her eventual Money In The Bank victory. From there, however, WWE seemed to give up on Asuka.

During her tenure as the RAW Women's Champion, The Empress Of Tomorrow was booked horribly. Screwy finishes, meaningless feuds and lack of TV time made Asuka feel like a transitional champion. This wouldn't be so bad if it was a short reign that managed to put over a new talent. However, the reign was long and drawn out, which managed to damage a lot of talent in the women's division.

Feuds with Lana, a never-ending saga with Nia Jax and Shayna Bazler, then her eventual feud with Rhea Ripley diminished the star power of Asuka. It's such a shame that Asuka has never been given a substantial and meaningful title run on the main roster. She is one of the brightest stars under WWE's huge umbrella.
