10 WWE Angles Wrestlers Wish They’d Turned Down

1. HBK = Comeback Kid

Shawn Michaels Triple H

Oddly, tagging with "God" isn't Shawn's biggest regret.

The icon came out of retirement at Crown Jewel 2018 to team with Triple H against The Undertaker and Kane. Any pre-match enthusiasm was sapped when the bell started ringing. Suddenly, viewers who were excited realised that this wasn't going to be great. The majority never wanted it to begin with.

Michaels has acknowledged how poor the match was on several occasions since. Then, he clapped eyes on 'Taker's 'Last Ride' documentary series and heard his old pal talk about using that Saudi Arabian supershow as a possible sunset moment for his entire WWE career. That's when HBK palmed his forehead.

He didn't know that going into Crown Jewel. Being honest, Michaels also wishes the whole debacle had never happened at all. It was a hollow return, a mediocre match and left his mate feeling depressed. For those keeping score, that's lose-lose-lose.
