Wins and losses in WWE don't really matter. Despite what the public line on the subject might be, there is no way they can truly convince anybody otherwise. This needs to change. There is no room in 2021 for uninspired 50/50 booking, and if Big E has any chance of surviving as a main event talent then he needs to start racking up those notches in the win column.
There is a danger, now that he is the Intercontinental Champion, for WWE to start allowing him to lose non-title matches. This simply cannot happen. A dominant run as a champion needs to be just that, and having him lose via a cheap roll up just so that he can win the rematch will only hurt him.
Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, and even Drew McIntyre have all been protected as top champions, which is absolutely the right thing to do. This trend needs to continue with Big E's push, and having him remain undefeated for a good stretch of 2021 will help turn the tide in the way WWE books its matches.
