10 WWE Employees Humiliated On The Air

It's cold as ice, except when the butt of the joke gets red hot about things.

Jim Ross has said on his podcast that he didn't know Vince McMahon's 'Dr. Heiney' sketch was coming when he sat down to watch the 24 October 2005 edition of Raw. Earlier in the day, he'd received a phone call from McMahon himself, and the boss told him he'd like what they were doing that night.

JR could be forgiven for thinking it'd be some galvanising message of support as he recovered from serious colon surgery, or maybe an old-school wrasslin' angle that'd make him smile. It wasn't. It was Vince going out of his way to poke fun at Jim's very-real misfortune by removing a plaster cast model head made to look like Ross from what was supposed to be his own ass.

The legendary announcer didn't see the funny side. How could he? WWE had tastelessly dedicated a portion of their Monday night flagship to mocking his health when he was feeling fragile. A heads-up on the skit would've been nice.
