10 WWE Fates Worse Than Death
1. Being Cooked Alive Mid-Match
There was hell to pay for an unfortunate member of WWE's production team at Elimination Chamber 2010. Someone let some pyro off too early (or it was set up wrongly) and ended up scorching The Undertaker. His trench coat caught ablaze, so he had to ditch it during his entrance and storm to the ring in a bad mood. 'Taker was also in a lot of pain for the rest of the night.
His flesh was literally cooking as officials around ringside doused him in water and he stormed uncomfortably around his Chamber pod. That had to be torture for ‘The Deadman’, and an interesting experience for fans on that side of the ring. They'd have surely heard some choice words coming out of the legend's mouth as he tried to get his head back in the game and fend off the weird mix of physical pain and mental embarrassment.
Undertaker's entrance was always a key part of his act, so it wouldn't have sat well with him that it was cut off by reckless production/pyro.
This would definitely have to rank as one of the most bizarre WWE injuries ever. The staffer responsible must've been fearing for their life throughout the entire match, because 'Taker was furious. Accidents happen, but someone had to be held accountable for nearly burning one of the biggest stars in the biz to a crisp live on pay-per-view.
The mere thought of Undertaker's arms, chest, back and shoulders cooking away as he writhed around the pod is excruciating. He got lucky. The staff member culpable for that early button press/setting pyro up in the wrong spot? Not so much.
