8. Glacier The State Trooper

Yes, the gimmick itself was absolutely turd for so many reasons, but so many WCW fans still have a soft spot in their icy hearts for Glacier.

While Ray Lloyd, the man behind the gimmick, got to serve up Mortal Kombat cosplay on WCW television, the wrestler also at one point had an offer on the table from WWE. Unfortunately for Glacier fans, a) it wasn't to reprise the Glacier character, and b) Lloyd opted to say no to Vince McMahon's promotion.

The offer made to Glacier was for him to come in and take on a state trooper gimmick in WWE, which would be pulling inspiration from Ray Lloyd's real-life family background of law enforcement.

In an interview with Wrestling INC, Glacier broke it down:

"It was just one of those things where I didn't really wanna get that personal, because in the wrestling business they have the power to do whatever they want to do. It was nothing against WWF, but it was just too personal to me to put into the wrestling business. At the end of the day, I ended up turning them down."

Glacier would add how the offer itself from WWE wasn't all that great, with McMahon's company at that point holding all the cards due to having a near monopolistic grip on the wrestling industry
