10 WWE Heels Who Were Too Entertaining To Boo
5. Razor Ramon
Scott Hall’s life has taken a number of twists and turns, but Razor Ramon was the ultimate cool heel. A tremendous wrestler, huge presence, and a top-level microphone worker, Razor was one of WWE’s biggest assets in the 1990s, and his WCW departure (along with Kevin Nash) took years to recover from. For his role in the Monday Night Wars, few men can say they’ve impacted the wrestling industry like Hall, and it all kicked-off with this Scarface-inspired character.
He was never able to ascend beyond Intercontinental Title status in WWE, but Razor was a huge star. His feud with Shawn Michaels is legendary, and while The Bad Guy was supposed to be the heel (funnily enough) early in his career, he quickly caught-on with the crowds. People loved his dominant ring work and cool charisma, and his cheers became so intense that WWE were eventually forced to turn him face.
At his peak, Hall was one of the best all-round performers that WWE have ever seen. He’ll likely go down as one of the greatest wrestlers to never become WWE Champion, and he’s one of a handful of wrestlers to not only have a hugely transformative effect on WWE’s fortunes, but also WCW’s. The Bad Guy oozed machismo, and people loved him for it.
