10 WWE Jobbers Who Became World Champion
6. Liv Morgan
2015 WWE was a much, much, much different place to 2025 WWE. That might win obvious statement of the year already, but it's true. For proof, just take a gander at the 4 November 2015 episode of NXT. On that, Eva Marie was still somebody the company had high hopes for, and one Liv Morgan wasn't even given a name. No, she was merely a "local competitor" who was there to take a thorough kicking from an actual star.
How times change.
Actually, a correction: Liv was called "Marley" during the beatdown from Marie, but the promotion's website and socials used the "local competitor" thing as a general rule. Flash forward through The Riott Squad, slightly awkward storylines with Lana and Rusev, and a failed babyface title reign back in 2022 and...you have today. Now, Morgan is one of the biggest names in the women's division, and is hot off a memorable feud vs. Rhea Ripley that included Liv stealing 'Mami's' man Dominik Mysterio.
She also nabbed Rhea's Women's World Title into the bargain, and was crowned WWE's first ever female Crown Jewel Champion over in Saudi Arabia on top of all that. 2024 was a stupidly great year for Liv fans, and there's probs more to come from her in the future. One thing's for sure. Morgan certainly won't be returning to the jobberiffic days of old. That was then and this is now.
Liv doesn't even have to play backing singer to anyone else on TV. If she's ever in another all-female group post-Judgment Day, she'll likely lead the thing.
