10 WWE Legends Curiously Missing From The Mattel Action Figure Line
4. Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake
Longtime fans of the WWE will know that Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake was a staple of WWE television throughout the 1980s.
With many of his feuds being focal parts of WWE programming, Beefcake's exclusion from the line of Mattel action figures thus far is a disappointment. The character and gimmick of "The Barber" just screams action figure from the moment fans laid eyes on Bruti.
Throughout his career, Brutus Beefcake had multiple looks, as well as numerous entrance and in-ring attires. He combined different jackets, tights, boots, sleeves, gloves and even hairstyles to become a WWE superstar that's a relative template for what a WWE action figure should be, no matter the year.
Any contract issues aside, the character of Brutus Beefcake is one of, if not the, biggest holdout (in terms of not receiving an action figure yet) in the Mattel line of the Hulkamania era. Most of his 80s peers have been produced as Mattel action figures by now (and some with even two or three), making an action figure of "The Barber" a must-have for any collector.
