10 WWE Main Event Feuds That Didn't End At WrestleMania

5. Triple H Vs Randy Orton

When Randy Orton brutally kicked Vince McMahon in the head to close out a January 2009 edition of Monday Night Raw, it should have supplanted him as the top star in the company almost immediately.

Instead, the powerful segment led to an interminable feud with the entire McMahon family, including favourite in-law and WWE Champion Triple H.

After suffering through their anaemic match to close WrestleMania 25, audiences groaned as the conflict rattled on a night later, with Vince McMahon ordering Randy and his Legacy brethren to take on 'The Game', his son Shane and the returning Dave Batista in the main event of April's Backlash pay-per-view.

The feud frustratingly limped on, with the six-man tag ultimately gifting Randy a title victory over Triple H with a punt kick that took Hunter off television for a brief spell. His return forced their title rematch at June pay-per-view The Bash, which Orton won again to virtual silence from a crowd desperately bored with the long-stagnant rivalry.

A Night of Champions triple threat main event with the duo and John Cena thankfully transitioned Randy onto 'The Champ' for Summerslam, allowing them to mercifully part company after nearly 6 months tied to one another on television.
