10 WWE Match Results That Didn't Matter At All

Survivor Series may seem like a hard sell in this day and age, but with the right lineup and the right stipulation, the multiple-man elimination match can be great. Case in point: the 2014 edition of the event, when a team led by John Cena took on The Authority.

Cena, Dolph Ziggler, Big Show, Erick Rowan, and Ryback took on Seth Rollins, Kane, Mark Henry, Rusev, and Luke Harper in a match with extremely high stakes - if Team Cena won, The Authority of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon would be banished from WWE. If The Authority won, though, every member of Team Cena (besides Cena himself) would be fired from the company.

Team Cena won, thanks to a heroic performance from Dolph Ziggler and some interference from the debuting Sting. The Authority was banished forever... or for six weeks, at least. That's how long it took to exploit a booking loophole and get Triple H and Stephanie right back in power. Once the bosses had returned, they fired everybody they had said they were going to - but don't worry, that didn't last long, either.
