Despite the first three entants on this list, being a great in-ring technician is not a requirement of having a great career. In fact, one of the greatest careers of all-time belongs to Hulk Hogan and he is far from a great technician.

Speaking of The Hulkster, his best friend for many years was Ed Leslie, better known to wrestling fans as Brutus 'The Barber' Beefcake. 'The Barber' was struttin' and cuttin' for the WWE from 1984 until 1993 during which he was involved in many high-profile matches.

Though never a contender for the WWE Championship, Beefcake had many memorable programs throughout his WWE career against the likes of The Honky Tonk Man, Ted DiBiase, Mr. Perfect, and Money Inc. No doubt his real-life relationship with Hogan helped his career, but that doesn't always guarantee success. Just ask Lanny Poffo - great in his own right, but not a consistently pushed performer despite being the brother of Randy Savage.

He's often ridiculed for his limited ring skills and for his close association to Hogan, but 'The Barber' was a WWE staple for nearly 10 years. And make no mistake, Beefcake was over.
