10 WWE Moments 2020 Will Be Fondly Remembered For

4. Keith Lee Coming Into His Own

What can be said about Keith Lee's 2020?

Lots.

He started the year by winning the NXT North American championship. Later that week, he was a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble, emerging to a thunderous pop. He had a glorious few minutes in the ring with Brock Lesnar, including being the first man in the match to put Lesnar down, as well as exchanging massive fists with Braun Strowman before both were dumped out by 'The Beast Incarnate'.

After a series of excellent matches with Dominik Dijakovic and Johnny Gargano, Lee beat Adam Cole on night two of The Great American Bash to hold both the NXT and North American championships, the first man to do so. Lee relinquished the N.A. Championship and dropped the NXT title at TakeOver XXX, before debuting on Raw a few nights later.

Since moving to RAW, Lee has been in programs with Drew McIntyre, Randy Orton, and Braun Strowman. Clearly, WWE has no concerns putting Lee into a cycle of matches with some of their heaviest hitters, and he has held his own with these experienced stars with no problem.

If there is a downside, it's that Lee got a bland new theme and ring attire when he moved over.
