10 WWE Money In The Bank Winners & Their King Of The Ring Counterparts

When debating who "the worst" King Of The Ring was while the tournament was on pay-per-view, Mabel usually tops the list. Similarly, Damien Sandow has to be considered in similar status for the Money In the Bank winners. Both men failed to turn their victories into championships and, within months of winning said matches, weren't even featured in WWE storylines.

Mabel was primarily a tag-team wrestler when debris rained down on from the Corestates Spectrum in disapproval of becoming the 1995 King Of The Ring. After winning the ladder match, Damien would amass a 1-12 combined record on RAW and SmackDown for the next several months. Neither man followed up their victories well.

Less than a year after becoming king, Mabel was released from his WWE contract. Sandow was primarily off television for the past year before being released midway through 2016. Damien also was the first WWE superstar to cash-in the briefcase in a losing effort (John Cena cashed in and failed to win the WWE Championship in 2012 but won the match via DQ).

King Mabel and Damien Sandow have the unenviable distinction of being arguably the most unsuccessful KOTR and MITB winners, respectively, in WWE history.
