10 WWE Moves That Had To Be Renamed

4. Unprettier

Personally I’ve always been a fan of the Unprettier, both in name and execution.

However, it seems that my opinion isn’t universally shared. In fact, even Christian himself never liked the name that he originally invented.

In a 2009 issue of WWE magazine, Captain Charisma explains how the name started out as a joke with the Hardys, before being adopted by those on commentary. Since then, he’d been keen to find a more vicious name, and when he returned to the company after a four-year hiatus, he saw that as the perfect time.

And thus the Killswitch was born—a name that Christian claims just came to him one day, although I’m sure a certain metalcore band offered some sort of inspiration.

As well as these two names though, Christian’s inverted, double-underhook facebuster was also once known as the Impaler. Although as a direct rip-off from his former manager Gangrel, it’s a good job he turned his back on that one—even if it was in favour of the Unprettier.
