5. WWE Tag Team Division Outlook?
From @nrock302: Thoughts on current tag team division?
The injuries are really hurting them because Jey Uso has been out since WrestleMania due to shoulder surgery that will keep him out of action until later this year. Jimmy Uso can't do much without Jey because they are true team. Then there is the unfortunate neck injury of Tyson Kidd that happened on June 1 that will likely keep him out for a year if not more. Cesaro's probably going to be used in singles, so two awesome teams have been wiped out. The New Day are excellent. Great job of getting heat from the crowd, they have awesome chemistry and their matches are good nearly every time. It was a surprise that they lost the tag titles at Money in the Bank, but that's because WWE felt like the Prime Time Players needed the win more, which is fine. I just think they should have built them up for another month or two before doing a change. A team that's really awesome that needs to get more exposure are the Lucha Dragons. Kalisto's a special talent while Sin Cara is very solid, so if they are ever pushed to the forefront they're going to prove that they can be the best team in the company. Keep an eye on Luke Harper and Erick Rowan, who recently reunited. They're perfect as a heel powerhouse team. That's what people thought The Ascension might be, but Harper/Rowan are much better in that role. It wouldn't be a bad thing if Harper/Rowan were the next tag team champions. Other than that, there's not much worth getting excited about. The injuries have definitely hurt the depth of the division, which is a shame because they were heading on the right track. At least there are some potentially great teams in NXT that could be called up in the future with Enzo/Cassady, Blake/Murphy and The Vaudevillains as the three that have really bright futures. The tag team division is slightly above average with a few bright spots at this point.
