10 WWE Rematches Absolutely Nobody Wanted To See

6. The Undertaker Vs. Kane

Just over a year after Kane's memorable debut at October 1997's Badd Blood: In Your House pay-per-view, the future 'Brothers of Destruction' had been paired against one another a whopping six times on pay-per-view in 1998.

The lengthy feud sprawled across tag wars and title scraps, dragging in Stone Cold Steve Austin and Mick Foley following their own battles shortly after 'The Rattlesnake's WrestleMania ascension.

It was somewhat understandable that the duo became inseparable on television throughout 1998. In storyline terms, Kane had been long thought dead for decades, and their eventual wars were some of the company's hottest conflicts that year.

However, the diminishing commercial and creative returns from repeated retreads were far less excusable. The brothers were enemies and friends countless times over the following 15 years, providing a safety net for the organisation should a card be lacking star power and a plodding 20 minute main event.

The feud hit rock bottom in 2010, when Kane was revealed to be The Undertaker's mystery attacker after hunting for a perpetrator that had apparently put 'The Deadman' in a 'vegetative state'. The turn led the 'Big Red Machine' to an unlikely World Title reign and three pitiful pay-per-view victories over his brother 12 years after their first profitable displays.
