Despite the presence of Mantaur, 1995 Royal Rumble is mostly remembered for the "one foot" non-elimination of Shawn Michaels. The following year, Michaels would go back-to-back in a Royal Rumble that was a minor improvement.

While the 1996 Rumble saw main event talents like Shawn and Diesel, it also featured some fresh faces including the WWE debut of Vader. Aside from Vader, several former superstars with years of experience made their return to the company such as Jake "The Snake" Roberts and Tatanka.

There was one other superstar participating in his first Royal Rumble match despite wrestling regularly on WWF television for the better part of the past decade and that was Barry Horowitz.

While Horowitz was a regular fixture on WWF television, it was as an enhancement talent up until the Summer of 1995 when he scored an upset victory over Body Donna Skip. Horowitz rode that momentum into both aummerSlam and Survivor Series appearances and followed it up with an entry into the 1996 Royal Rumble.

Fans may remember Barry Horowitz for being a lifelong jobber, but let's not forget his one and only Royal Rumble participation.
