10 WWE Salaries You Won't Believe

4. The Big Show ~ $1.5 Million

The Big Show is a big man, but does he deserve such a big contract?

There are arguments for and against, but it seems to me that his salary is based purely on a price-per-foot rata; $200,000 for each (foot of his height, that is).

On the one hand, our lad Paul has been presented as a headline talent for nearly all of his 17 years with the company (save his very, very brief hiatus from the group in 2007). On the other, he's done next to nothing noteworthy in that time, or at least, anything that has forced punters to part with their money.

The only exception is the Floyd Mayweather, um, 'fight', at WrestleMania XXIV, and believe me, Hornswoggle could have been in that bout and people would have still have tuned in to see 'Money' Mayweather in a WWE ring.

But that was almost a decade ago. What has The Big Show done since to justify his mammoth fee? A proposed match against Shaq O'Neill literally eons after anyone cared? And a whole year off to prepare for it?

The Big Show - a big waste.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
