10 WWE Stars In Desperate Need Of A Turn

4. Kofi Kingston

The New Day is close to peaking. It could be argued that they've done so already.

It was great while it lasted, but a gimmick which purposefully treads close to the line of being completely annoying has a naturally short shelf life. And Kingston, as the senior member of the group, has the most logical storyline reasoning to turn heel.

It would be as simple as him, as a WWE veteran who hasn't quite lived up to his potential, growing tired of messing around and not being taken seriously. A turn would be difficult for Kofi. His offensive repertoire is designed almost exclusively to operate within the framework of the hot tag and the ten minute spot-heavy midcard match. A character realignment would require almost a complete reimagining.

Knowing WWE, it's clear that Big E is the guy for whom high-card success is forecasted. And with good reason - he has the heavily-muscled look they desire, and has improved by leaps and bounds in the character department since The New Day's enforced heel and face turns.

This success, of which Kingston would be jealous, could serve as the subtext and catalyst of his attitude adjustment.
