10 WWE Stars One Tweak Away From Perfection
3. Drew McIntyre
The Tweak: Become a lone wolf.
Why It'd Help: It'd be unreasonable to state outright that being aligned with Shane McMahon on TV has been bad for Drew McIntyre. Shane is all over programming, and that means McIntyre is as well. Still, it's maybe time for him to strike out on his own for the first time since re-joining WWE's main roster.
Since being called up from NXT, Drew has teamed with Dolph Ziggler, Braun Strowman, Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley, Elias and Shane. It's excessive to continually program him as a bodyguard-like menace when he'd be so wonderfully watchable on his own. WWE should realise that McIntyre would work as a lone wolf.
No more temporary alliances and no more booking him as a challenger before babyfaces meet the final boss (McMahon).
Drew can talk, he looks like a million bucks, he can work with all shapes and sizes and he's vastly experienced at this stage in his career. At 34, he's in his physical prime, has confidence and drive in abundance, and shouldn't be anyone's lackey.
