10 WWE Stars To Take Seth Rollins' Place In The Authority

4. The New Day

WWE fans don't tend to agree on much, but if there's one majority opinion right now, it's that The New Day most definitely rocks. They're endlessly entertaining both in the ring and on the microphone, and unlike other gimmicks which have taken off with crowds (Mizdow for example), it feels like these guys are very much here to stay. The trio of Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods may have said in interviews that they never liked the idea of becoming the next Nation of Domination, but having The New Day become a force to be reckoned with - while being sure to keep their trademark humour - would be downright awesome. The WWE has already made an effort to establish these guys as a serious threat after having them finishing a recent Raw standing tall over the likes of John Cena and The Dudley Boyz, so the groundwork for them to step up their game and main event Raw and SmackDown on a weekly basis - as The Shield did not so long ago - is already there, and something you have to believe would be accepted and embraced. It's also worth noting that Big E remains the member of this group with the best shot of one day becoming WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and if New Day aligning themselves with The Authority leads to that, then all the better. The dynamic between these guys and Triple H and Stephanie would also be a lot of fun to explore; we've seen that they get on fairly well, but you just know that they'd annoy the hell out of them, something The Authority could do little about seeing as they need their help. This just makes sense on a number of levels, and while they're an unexpected choice to take over from Rollins, they'd no doubt nail it.
