10 WWE Stars Who Can’t Be Happy Right Now
3. Sami Zayn
Way to go, SmackDown head writers, you have turned one of the best in-ring workers you have into 2017's version of Barry Horowitz. Sami Zayn is seemingly lost on the creative team, because they can't figure out what to do with him. At this point, it's hard not to suggest Zayn was better off on Raw being squashed by Braun Strowman.
Losing to Aiden English twice in consecutive weeks (and once in just over 60 seconds) has turned Sami into a colossal loser. That flies in the face of fan reaction. When Zayn bounces out onto the stage, people cheer and sing along to his theme music. This is something WWE could work with, but they're instead portraying the likeable midcarder as a jobber.
For a guy who produced superb matches against Kevin Owens and could work with anybody WWE chooses, that must stink. Please sort this out, WWE, because Sami is just too good to stare at the lights for projects like English you'll likely lose interest in by the end of the year.
