10 WWE Stars Who Can’t Be Happy Right Now

2. Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan is determined to wrestle in 2018, at least according to comments made by his wife Brie Bella recently. That probably won't be in WWE though, because the company are keen to distance themselves from potential disaster by letting the injury-ravaged (and now retired) ex-World Champion back in a company ring.

The SmackDown GM role was supposed to appease Bryan, but it has only made him itch for pro wrestling again. His last televised match in WWE was a tag effort alongside John Cena in April 2015, meaning it has been over two years since Bryan wrestled in a featured position. With his WWE deal set to expire sometime in 2018, a return to the independent scene could be on the cards.

With each passing week, Daniel looks less and less interested in the General Manager role he currently plays. That disinterest isn't doing anyone any favours. For Bryan, being a talking head isn't satisfying enough. For WWE, having somebody who actually enjoys the position would be best.
