10 WWE Stars Who Could Return Before The End Of 2019

8. Nia Jax

She's "not like most girls". No, Nia Jax definitely is not. Not everybody could go from red hot sympathetic babyface at WrestleMania 34 to making up the numbers as a cookie-cutter heel with Tamina exactly 12 months later. WWE deserve a slap for how they botched her surprise success in the face role.

At the moment, Nia's recovery estimate for double knee surgery sits at nine months. Don't be surprised if that shortens. WWE are woefully thin on the ground when it comes to strong heels not named Charlotte Flair (one could add the recently-returned Sasha Banks to that argument), and they might need Nia to come in and take a pasting before the end of the year.

The fact she tore her ACL on both legs is worrying though. Without being crude, Jax is hardly a lightweight kind of wrestler. The impact on her joints will be severe from this point on, and it might be for the best if she sits out a while longer rather than powering through pain to make an earlier-than-expected return.

Again though, don't bet against it happening.
