10 WWE Stars Who Could Return Before The End Of 2019

3. Rusev

File Rusev under the same list titled, 'What A Colossal Waste Of Talent' that Luke Harper is on.

These days, Ru-Ru is paid to sit at home and spend endless time in the gym. As much as this is likely good for his soul and body, it isn't doing anything for business in WWE. Lord only knows why this promotion is content to play WCW and let workers do nothing instead of contributing on the road.

It's one thing for them to grant Rusev time off (this honestly needs to happen more in wrestling), but it's another to have no return date in mind for the Bulgarian or his beautiful bride Lana. They've gone from important heels to comedy babyfaces and now find themselves playing frustrated outsiders.

Rusev's frustrations were plain for all to see on Lilian Garcia's 'Chasing Glory' podcast in mid-August. There, he said that he had done everything WWE asked without seeing any tangible changes to his status in the company. In one last-gasp attempt to explain, Rusev also said he just wanted to grab Vince McMahon's attention.

Maybe the increased emphasis on NXT during 2019's final quarter will offer him a reprieve.
