10 WWE Stars Who Have Suffered The Most Since WrestleMania 32

4. Kalisto

2016 was a strange year for Kalisto; starting out in January without a tag team partner after Sin Cara was injured, the masked man went on to beat Alberto Del Rio to become the new United States Champion but was never treated as anything more than an underdog with the belt.

Despite being depicted as fortunate to hold the title, the high-flying Kalisto matched up against Ryback on the Kickoff portion of WrestleMania 32's card. Following a surprisingly good 9 minutes of action, it was Kalisto who came out on the winning end.

His singles career, instead of continuing to improve, sadly started spiralling downwards until Kalisto was botching his way through promos on SmackDown before being fed to the likes of Baron Corbin.

A duff feud with Dolph Ziggler has also failed to capture audience attention, and has done nothing for anyone involved; even the inclusion of Apollo Crews couldn't stir live crowds, chiefly because neither Crews nor Kalisto have been presented with any real conviction.

At 'Mania 32, Kalisto was WWE US Champ. Come 'Mania 33, there's a great chance he will be Battle Royal fodder.
