10 WWE Stars Who Need To Follow Neville Out Of The Exit Door

6. Gran Metalik

Gran Metalik's mask, nominally designed to provide him with a super-heroic identity, instead acts as a neat metaphor for his anonymity in WWE. He is only marginally more relevant than Sin Cara, and lags behind the jobber-tastic Kalisto in the Rey Mysterio replacement ranks.

His fall from popularity underscores the rapid rate at which pro wrestling moves. The man wowed spectators during last year's Cruiserweight Classic tournament, in which he reached the final. That counted for nought on the main roster. Much like Lince Dorado - really, virtually all of his peers on 205 Live - Metalik has devolved from hot prospect to inconvenience. His work is still great. In particular, his springboard moonsault - struck after suckering an opponent to the outside - is as beautiful as it is thrilling. Again, it counts for nought. Metalik, whose arbitrary win/loss record all but confirms his pointlessness, is worth a GIF in today's scene - but nothing is worth the valuable extra hour of your life that 205 Live occupies. It's barely canon in WWE, given the only objective of the division, its title, is defended largely on Kickoff matches and exists as a punishment for one guy and a transparent Eddie Guerrero tribute for another.

Metalik's former home of CMLL remains in decent health. The Arena Mexico fans are and always will be rabid. You can go home again, and Metalik should.
