7. The Street Profits (c) Vs. Andrade & Angel Garza

Montez Ford's frog splash was amazing, wasn't it?

A proper Rob Van Dam turn-in-midair deal. Maybe better - it's been a long time since 'Mr Monday Night' had a rotation like that in him. Remember when he feuded with Eddie Guerrero in 2002 over just who did the better one? Montez Ford could knock both of them in to a cocked hat in the form he's in. Not least considering he's just recovered from a poisoning.

And there it is, snapped back to reality. The glorious finish simply didn't matter, because the feud didn't. Zelina Vega led losers into a loss at WrestleMania against Ford and Dawkins, and did the same here with the story still mostly being about how Angel Garza and Andrade get along about as well as they succeed as a unit. Which is to say, not at f*cking all.

Four star work happened in bursts, to the point where Kevin Owens at the desk had no choice but to pop at Andrade's spinning back fist, but the heels were so impossible to buy as eventual winners that nothing the Champions did resonated as particularly worthy. The ThunderDome was raining solo cups for the winners as they entered, but they were all like the battle that followed - empty.
