8. The Undertaker
WWE.comWhile known most for his exemplary Wrestlemania Record of 21-1 (a record that was unblemished until this years Showcase of the Immortals), The Undertaker has a pretty solid record at Summerslam as well. He has competed in 15 matches at the summer event, and has a record of 9-5-1. He made his Summerslam debut in 1992, and definitely made a name for himself in those early years. He won his first four Summerslam contests, defeating monsters like Kamala, Giant Gonzalez (in a Rest in Peace Match), The Undertaker (yes he took on himself, or at least a version of himself), and Kama (in a Casket Match). His first Summerslam loss came at the hands of Mankind in a Boiler Room Brawl. The Undertaker would follow up his first Summerslam loss with another one, this time losing the WWF Title to fellow Mr. Summerslam contender Bret Hart, and the following year he would lose yet again to Stone Cold Steve Austin. In 1999, he would get back on the winning track, teaming with Big Show to win the WWF Tag Team Titles from X-Pac and Kane. He would go in to win or draw in his next four Summerslam appearances. The Undertaker would fail to capture the WWE Title from JBL in 2004, losing to the Wrestling God, and 2005 The Undertaker was defeated by heated rival Randy Orton. After missing both the 2006 and 2007 Summerslams, The Undertaker would return to the event for a final time, defeating Edge inside of Hell In A Cell. Not only did he defeat Edge, he for all intents and purposes massacred him, putting him through two tables, sending him through one of the Cells panels, hitting Edge with a con-chair-to, and Chokeslamming The Rated R Superstar off a ladder through the ring for good measure. Oh and then The Undertaker engulfed the hole in the canvas in flame. Thats one way to commemorate your last Summerslam and stake your claim for the title of Mr. Summerslam.
