Current Signature Move: Superman Punch

Roman Reigns has, without a doubt, one of the most fake and least impressive signature moves in all of WWE. His Superman punch is 95% theatrics and 5% actual physicality, and it’s always presented with a lightning-fast camera switch that changes the angle of the move to make it look like it actually hurts.

The move is so obviously fake that it makes Reigns look like a less-skilled wrestler and makes his opponents look way weaker for actually being felled by such a primitive and ineffectual signature move.

Suggested New Signature Move: Lariat

If Reigns wants to be presented as a badass, the simplest way to do that is to have him use one of the most badass moves in wrestling: the lariat. This simple-yet-incredibly-effective maneuver has been used with great success by the likes of JBL, Stan Hansen, and many great Japanese wrestlers who know how to make a move look devastating.

If Reigns were to start using this as his signature move, he’d be taken way more seriously as a wrestler, as he’d have an actual known wrestling move in his repertoire. Furthermore, the lariat as a move already has that reputation for being stiff, painful and devastating, and the transition from his current signature move to a new one wouldn’t be that much of a change to make for him.

In the end, he'd only look like a more legitimate star by changing from the overly-theatrical Superman Punch to the more painful-looking Lariat
