10 WWE Superstars Who Tarnished Their Legacy

5. Hulk Hogan

There is no denying the crowd noise that can be heard inside arenas every time Real American hits. Hogan, it seems, is bulletproof: no matter how long he wrestles or how much he over-saturates himself, when he walks through the curtain the people lose their minds. Call it nostalgia if you want but Hogan still knows how to get the people going and despite the fact that his in-ring career looks to be over (for now at least) he can still add something to the show. Even if that 'something' is shilling the WWE Network or WWE 2K15. That's not to say that Hogan has tarnished his legacy, however, as there is plenty of evidence to suggest that he has. Hogan's career is well-documented. We've all seen the matches and know all of the stories. He was the biggest drawing wrestler of all time, set merchandise and attendance records. He crossed over into the mainstream and was the first wrestler to become a household name. Hogan was an astute business man and earned more in a year than many wrestlers could hope to make in a lifetime. But Hogan has also entered some truly shoddy performances in big matches, made confusing comments in public and had some very public scandals. Like his nasty divorce from wife Linda and the sex tape he made with the then-wife of his then-best friend DJ Bubba the Love Sponge. Hogan will always have a place in WWE as long as him and Vince can do business with each other and he is rumoured to be involved in a match at Wrestlemania 31 as long as he can pass a stringent physical examination. For the sake of the fans watching around the world and Hogan's knackered back, it would be better if he didn't.
