If 'Taker and Brock Lesnar's infamous match never happened, everyone would have been better off.

That night changed Undertaker's legacy. The Streak was gone, yes, but so was the streak of MOTY contenders because that match was a trainwreck and the concussion 'The Phenom' suffered rocked his confidence.

'Taker's five-star Phenom persona was never going to get a good match out of Lesnar (he needed the grizzled gunslinger that showed up a year later), so it would have been better to pair him up with someone else. That someone else should have been a member of The Shield.

Prior to 2014, 'Taker was written off-screen after a vicious attack from the Hounds of Justice and, strangely enough, he never avenged that attack. A rarity for The Undertaker, it would have made much more sense if he had come looking for revenge on the Authority's security guards, setting up a 'Mania match against one (or all three) of them.

He had already wrestled Ambrose in a great match and a clash with Reigns in 2014 certainly wouldn't have been as terrible as their 2017 affair. However, Rollins may have been the one to allow him to continue that MOTY streak - and it's quite sad that we never got the chance to see that.
