10 WWE Superstars Who Are Being Totally Overlooked
5. Apollo Crews
Triple H has talked openly about his frustrations with Vince McMahon calling NXT talent up to the main roster on a whim, but now the show is on the USA Network, those days are over. You have to believe that Apollo Crews is one of the talents The Game regrets losing, especially as he clearly wasn't ready for the big time when he arrived on RAW in 2016.
After an underwhelming series of matches, Apollo found himself working with veteran Titus O'Neil as part of Titus Worldwide, but that never really went anywhere, and he's since found himself filling the role of a typical lower mid-card talent. He's had the occasional noteworthy match (challenging Dean Ambrose for the Intercontinental title, for example), but if his recent burials at the hands of Sheamus are any indication, those could be behind him.
Apollo is big, athletic, and legitimately talented. Unfortunately, he could now only really benefit from returning to NXT and being repackaged as he's in desperate need of a fresh gimmick. Crews could also do with some help improving how he connects with the audience as they simply don't appear to be behind him at this point.
