10 WWE Superstars Who Deserve A Secondary Title Reign

8. Ruby Riott

The Miz IC Champ
WWE

The Riott Squad could have been so awesome. In their first incarnation, with Sarah Logan alongside them, Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan should have had a Women's Tag Team Championship reign on their record; a litter of broken Superstars in their wake. Alas, only four women can be properly showcased at any one time in WWE (outside of NXT, that is).

In a similar mould to Sonya Deville, Riott would be a worthy, credible champion to develop SmackDown's female undercard. Unlike Sonya, Ruby would have the backing of Liv Morgan to be that uber-frustrating heel champ who retains at all costs. Rather than being a stereotypical coward, Riott and Morgan would be vicious, Shield-like in their approach, using the numbers game to their advantage.

Riott should invite a third into her squad once again, assume the dominant role in the group, and lead from the front with my newly created women's secondary belt (name suggestions welcome). While Deville reigns over on Raw upon her return, Riott shall be her SmackDown counterpart as their first mid-card champ. When she's ready, Morgan takes the title from her while Riott moves to the main event.
