10 WWE Superstars Who Hated Their Own Moves
3. Seth Rollins - Pedigree
In the midst of his run as WWE Champion in 2015 Seth Rollins was forced to drop his Curb Stomp finisher and adopted his mentor Triple H's pedigree from there on out.
That was until Rollins eventually dropped the move in 2017 and replaced it with the Ripcord Knee, before reverting back to the Curb Stomp later down the line.
Why did Rollins bin his old 'Authority' leader's legendary finisher, though?
Well, the former Shield member stated in an interview with The Mirror that the move represented his time spent with 'The Authority' and after knocking off 'The Game' at WrestleMania 33 he felt it was time for a change. Rollins also didn't like the fact that the move was synonymous with his mentor and wanted a finisher which was unique to him.
Rollins seems to have found that in his trusty old Curb Stomp, with the move helping him win the 2019 Royal Rumble and claim the Universal Championship from Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 35.
Sometimes paying homage to another star can be respectful, but when that move becomes your game-changer a wrestler will always find it tough to step out of the originator's shadow.
