10 WWE Superstars Who Should Switch Brands In 2017
9. Rusev
Rusev is one of the funniest, most charismatic, and athletic big men currently working for WWE. With every chance he gets, he seems to reinvent himself ever-so-slightly, and his pairing with Lana is still TV gold. The problem is, he’s been languishing in RAW’s midcard for what feels like years, always coming close to the top but never amounting to more than a transitional US Champ or a severely outdated Cold War villain. He’s currently teaming with Jinder Mahal, because 'foreign'.
If given the right kind of push over on the blue brand, he could return to his status as a sadistic, conniving brute, or alternatively, branch out into being a bumbling slapstick oaf. Either way, he needs some direction and focus, as he’s currently just treading water on RAW. And unlike RAW, SmackDown could actually use more names to bolster its midcard.
Think about the great matches he could have over on SmackDown, with the likes of AJ Styles, Luke Harper, or even American Alpha. There’s an Intercontinental Championship with Rusev’s name on it. He just needs the right brand, and the right opponents to machka.
