10 WWE Superstars Who Will Be Snubbed At WrestleMania 33
1. AJ Styles
2016 was unequivocally the year of AJ Styles. Debuting at the Royal Rumble, taking on Y2J in Dallas, feuding with Cena and then leading SmackDown Live as the WWE Champion: those kind of accolades are what you would expect of one of the most talented performers on the planet.
However, the Alamo Dome clearly laid out where AJ Styles now stands within the scheme of things. WWE seemingly trusted him to carry SDL during the quieter parts of the year but now that WrestleMania season is heating up, the belt has been dropped to the reliable, mainstream-appeal John Cena. It is a bit of a slap in the face to Styles and his fans that he now looks unlikely to walk into Orlando as champion, and with Orton likely main-eventing against Bray Wyatt, Styles' prospects are not looking too good.
No one is more deserving of a WrestleMania main event to cap off a terrific year in a magnificent career. Though he may still get a main-card program, anything short of the final match in Orlando counts as a snub for AJ.
