With a career that has lasted 18 years, Kassius Ohno has appeared in a huge number of promotions since donning the boots for the first time in 1999. Many fans will be aware of his previous life on the indies as Chris Hero and his memorable runs in IWA: Mid-South, CZW, Ring of Honor and Evolve. However, not so memorable was his stint in TNA.

Still wrestling as Chris Hero, the indie superstar made several appearances for TNA throughout 2003 and 2004. Sadly for Hero, his appearances came exclusively on TNA’s secondary show, Xplosion, and all resulted in losses.

Despite the lack of in-ring victories, the appearances did give Hero valuable TV exposure and saw him appear on eight different episodes of TNA television during his run. Furthermore, it also saw him share the ring with the likes of Jerry Lynn, Elix Skipper and 3 Live Kru (Road Dogg, Konnan and R-Truth).

Ultimately, TNA wouldn’t sign Hero to a full-time deal and, despite several rumours of interest over the years, Hero has yet to appear in the company since. Instead, he made his way to WWE in 2011 where he languished in NXT until 2013. After a three year absence, Hero returned to NXT last December, once again as Kassius Ohno.
