10 WWE Wishes (That Will Never Come True)
6. Dolph Ziggler Utilised Properly
What does it take to get a push in WWE? A great physique, technical skills, the ability to make others look better, confidence, gift of the gab, crowd support. Some combination of these attributes should, in theory, set you up as a star in the company - unless, of course, you’re Dolph Ziggler.
The mismanagement of Ziggler in WWE beggars belief. The guy can have a good match with anyone, bumps like you wouldn’t believe, looks the part, and can talk. He’s a terrific heel and at times has excelled as a babyface. You only need to look at his Money In The Bank cash-in or his career vs title match with The Miz to see that, booked right, the universe absolutely adores him.
And yet, WWE has lost interest in the show off so many times. He’s reached the top of the mountain, only to be flicked off or fed to Goldberg (and even then, he made Goldberg look as good as he has in years).
If it hasn’t happened now, it never will - Ziggler’s 41, rarely makes it to PPV, and mostly occupies the tag division now. The guy is well paid, well respected, and has the freedom to go off and do other stuff (namely stand up comedy) that few others do - still, his career is a mystery.
