The Shield's Raw reunion ensures we won't see Dean Ambrose's rumoured heel turn for a while. Him and Seth Rollins will likely serve as Roman Reigns' attack dogs throughout his Universal Title run, fending off any and all external threats, including the pursuing Braun Strowman. This could go on for months, but betraying his Shield brothers still isn't out of the question.
From his heftier wrestling style to his general mannerisms, everything about post-return Ambrose suggests a shift in attitude is on the cards. WWE are foreshadowing the move by ditching the wacky prop comic of old. This is a grumpier, more focused 'Lunatic Fringe,' and that bodes will for an eventual villainous run.
Ambrose vs. Rollins is a feud we've seen before, but never with Dean as the heel. It's not a fresh pairing, but it is a fresh story, and something that the fans would have no trouble buying into. Their chemistry means it'd almost certainly be a great match too, provided the road agents kept their meddling mitts away from it and let the performers weave magic on their own.
