10 WWE WrestleMania 35 Card Predictions After SummerSlam 2018

7. WWE Title: The Miz (C) Vs. Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan's contractual situation remains unclear. While the 37-year-old has declared himself "90% sure" he'll re-sign, he's still to ink a new deal. A heavy focus in the upcoming WWE 2K19 suggests he plans on staying, but some sources have reported he'll only stick around for another three months after September, departing the company by year's end.

If that happens, the writers will rush their way through a storyline that could (and should) stretch all the way to WrestleMania. A huge shame, and one WWE fans will be hoping doesn't come to pass, as it'd cost the show a potential main event.

SummerSlam 2018 was a perfect appetiser. It wasn't an instant classic, but Miz and Bryan's first bout felt like the perfect opening entry in a long-running series. Well-paced, technically sound, and carried by sublime storytelling, it left plenty in the tank for future instalments, and while you can concoct all kinds of acceptable fantasy booking scenarios to get them to WrestleMania 35, a WWE Championship programme would take it over the top, particularly with Bryan chasing (a role he has always excelled in).
