10 WWE Wrestlers Poised To Break Out In 2020

10. Dakota Kai

A stunning TakeOver: WarGames III heel turn heralded the start of what should be a bright new era for NXT's Dakota Kai, who looked increasingly unlikely to make the mark as a top-level black-and-gold babyface despite her obvious talents.

The angle was tremendous. Vicious and impactful in her assault (to an almost shocking degree), Kai bludgeoned "best friend" Tegan Nox like she was trying to split her legs at her dodgy knees. She was heated, hateful, and stiff, changing not only the entire complexion of the titular women's bout, but NXT's overflowing division as a whole.

Kai has a readymade blood feud waiting for her against Nox, who took this week's TV tapings off to sell the ambush. After that, she can absolutely make a mark as a top heel in this Shayna Baszler-led division, particularly if 'The Queen of Spades' is as close to a main roster move as has been reported. Just two shows have demonstrated the New Zealander's destructive capabilities, showing that the right angle can turn even the most natural babyface into a reviled heel - particularly when they're as skilled as Kai.
