10 WWE Wrestlers Vince McMahon Was RIGHT About

6. Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar explosively arrived on WWE television on the 18 March 2002 episode of Raw, and just five months later he'd become WWE Undisputed Champion by defeating the Rock at that year's SummerSlam.

Lesnar was only 25 years of age at that point, and had only be training as a pro wrestler for less than two years. The point being, WWE gave Brock the sort of monster push never before seen. Sure, Ric Flair had won the World Title in slightly less time during his first tenure with the company, but the Nature Boy had proven himself as a huge draw across a 20-year career by then.

For Brock, this was very much sink or swim, and was a huge leap of faith from McMahon. One could argue whether or not that faith was rewarded when Lesnar quit the company just two years later, but then one could point out how Vince's decision to bring the Beast Incarnate back into the fold in 2012 was another case of McMahon being proved right.

Many questioned whether Brock had the passion to return to WWE, and while it may be more about a payday than any particular passion for Lesnar, he's still performing at a high level for WWE 11 years after that shock return.

There has obviously been questions over how Brock has been used creatively since that 2012 return, but that's not the fault of the talent. Lesnar is clear that he'll do what you ask him to do, so long as he's getting paid. And from what's been asked of him, he's usually delivered big.
