10 WWE Wrestlers Who Immediately Told You They Were Losing
2. Johnathan Gresham - ROH Death Before Dishonor 2022
Have you ever had a job you really loved, only for things to go completely to pot when a new manager gets brought in?
Well, that's essentially what happened to Jonathan Gresham when Tony Khan bought Ring of Honor.
At Supercard of Honor XV, the final ROH show before Khan bought the promotion, Gresham had defeated Bandido to become the undisputed world champion. This was off the back of the amazing work Gresham had done with the interim title, travelling around the world to defend it whilst the company was on hiatus.
After finally cementing himself as the top champion in the business, just imagine how disheartened The Octopus must have been when he found out he was dropping the strap to Claudio Castagnoli just a few months later.
It's common knowledge now that Gresh chewed out Khan after the match, but it was clear before all that went down that something was up. The champion made his entrance without all his usual accoutrements - no Cthulhu mask, no flag, none of it.
The wrestler put absolutely zero effort into this entrance, so nobody was surprised by the outcome of the match.
