11 Huge AEW All Out 2021 Predictions You Need To Know
10. Paul Wight vs. QT Marshall
"Marshall is a good stooge heel to eat a two-minute loss to Wight. It won't overstay its welcome and will serve as an effective buffer between two bigger pay-per-view matches, which is something AEW's overlong and inconsistent supercards definitely need."
The above came straight from this byline on 19 August. Now, things aren't so certain.
The go-home Dynamite saw Billy Gunn attack Paul Wight's surgically-repaired hip in his heel turn, setting QT Marshall up to hit the ring with his goons and pick the bones. AEW gave Wight a well-defined weakness in that moment. Typically, one would expect this to become part of the match's story. Marshall has a clear target to go after now, so why wouldn't he do that?
QT is likely going to try and get heat on the former Big Show in a longer bout, now, even though a quickfire knockout remains the optimum output. That's worrying, as much of this program has been a misread of what AEW's audience wants from its shows, though the end result is still the same.
Winner: Paul Wight
