11 Most Random Money In The Bank Ladder Match Participants In WWE History
10. Mark Henry
Money In The Bank Ladder Matches work best with a line-up of superstars who work well in fast-paced environments, and who possess crafty agility. Nothing against the Hall-of-Fame strongman, but Mark Henry does not tick many of those boxes.
Having him fill a hole once is fair enough, (particularly his WrestleMania 25 appearance, such is the everyone in the pool nature of the Showcase Of The Immortals) but his inclusion in the WWE Championship Money In The Bank briefcase ladder match at the 2010 pay-per-view, was more wasteful than productive. Henry was not initially supposed to feature in this match, and was only added to replace R-Truth who was storyline injured by United States Champion and eventual winner The Miz. WWE could have used this slot to elevate a young up and coming talent such as Yoshi Tatsu or Zack Ryder, but instead chose to go with The Worlds Strongest Man.
Henry was always very adept at playing the heavy in a multi-man match, and this was just the role demanded of him when placed in the Money In The Bank world. He was never going to win either match he competed in, and and did very little of note in both.
