11 Most Random Money In The Bank Ladder Match Participants In WWE History
5. Tensai
One year on from Money In The Bank 2011, 2012’s encore gave a prominent spotlight to the company’s mid-card - one which was in a real state of flux at the time. For this reason, the World Heavyweight Championship briefcase ladder match at this event featured a rather eclectic bunch of superstars who had no chance of walking out Mr. Money In The Bank.
For proof of this, look no further than Tensai, formerly a Lord, and even more formerly well-known as Albert/A-Train during both the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression eras. Matt Bloom had a unique tenure in WWE, playing a whole raft of bizarre characters, none of which were as implausible as portraying a vicious face-tattooed Japanese warrior upon his return to the company in 2012.
His participation in this ladder match served little purpose other than using his size and strength to throw smaller combatants from pillar to post. Whilst this may seem like a wasted spot, Tensai was likely towards the top of an ugly list when the creative team discussed who to feature in this match, such was the lack of roster depth at the time.
